Eugene, Oregon the sun is sunny and the team of the Oregon ducks going waaaay down hill. 2008, the Ducks put in Jeremiah Masoli of California to be head QB. Jeremiah leads the Ducks to the Holiday Bowl after taking out Oregon State. After winning the Holiday Bowl, Oregon head coach Mike Balloti, retired. The Ducks put in Chip Kelly, former defensive coordinator for the Ducks, as head coach. In the first game of Chip Kelly's career the Ducks loose to Boise State , and may I just say, I hate the horrible blue field of Boise State, the loss 8-17 caused some minds to wonder what was happening to Oregon? And just to make it worse, the NB Punch on a Boise State football player, NB had to be halled of to jail that night. The next game vs Purdue at Auzten, they put a new kid named LaMicheal James in for NB. The first play that he was in, he rushed for a 45 yard run and was tackled at the 37 of Purdu. They won that game 36-34. Chip Kelly and the Oregon Ducks rushed through beating OSU 37-33, to put the Ducks at #7 and to play in the Rose Bowl game in Pasadena, vs Ohio State (#8). It was the first Rose Bowl the Ducks have been to since 1995.
Sadly the Ducks lost, but not without LaMichael James rushing for over 500 yards. Two months later, two police reports were filed, one said that LaMichael James ha
d allegedly abused his girlfriend. He's now in jail for the 3 remaining days of his sentence. "He will be out for the first game," said Oregon's coach Chip Kelly. But on the same day, Jeremiah Masoli, was put in jail for allegedly stealing a few laptops and a few more interments. He was put in jail for one week. "He will be out for the season." said Oregon's coach Chip Kelly. After the spring game for the Ducks, Masoli signed out of Oregon and into Ole Miss. Everybody thought the Ducks were done for, including me. But the next season the Ducks are undefeated, and with LaMicheal James at over 500 yards per game! Now the Ducks are #1 in the nation.
